Today, January 25th, Ontario introduced the new crowdfunding prospectus exemption, which opens up investment opportunities to a broader range of investors—thereby making it easier for early stage companies to access capital.
The new exemption will allow companies to raise funds through registered funding portals such as FrontFundr. As the largest province and home to Canada’s financial centre, Toronto, we imagine these new regulations will create tremendous opportunity for companies looking to raise funds, as well as investors interested in investing in private companies. FrontFundr is already speaking with a handful of companies who plan to utilize the new exemption to raise funds in Ontario.
For more information on Ontartio’s new crowdfunding exemption, join FrontFundr and the National Crowdfunding Assocation in Toronto today. Entrepreneurs, investors, influencers and supporters will be at this milestone event to learn more about what the new rules mean for both entrepreneurs and investors. Light refreshments will be served.
