Hi Jim, Great Question - the valuation for HOVR at this stage is derived from a number of factors, the top ones being;
- The high scability factor of this platform
- A conservative projected EBDITA Multiple
- The traction and velocity of current rider and driver adoption
- The team with an extensive track record of success across a number of business diciplines.
- The IP and patents portfolio extending across the transportation industry
- The current market size and growth factor.

I understand that Uber has not been profitable to date. How would Hover succeed with a lower platform fee to cover operational costs?

Actually, Uber has been quite profitable over the last 12 months, having a market capitalization of $159 billion and earnings (EBITDA) of $2.8 billion representing a 5% profit margin. HOVR deducts the fees from various service providers (e.g. insurance, City of Toronto, payment processing, and the HOVR $1/ride Platform Fee) from the total cost that the rider pays and sends the balance to the drivers resulting a much larger payout to the drivers and a competitive price to the riders. Our Platform Fee provides enough revenue for us to run our operations and improve our App. If fares fall in the rideshare industry we can reduce ours too.

No the drivers will not be employees, but rather HOVR members, and as such will receive Member Benefits such as access to various discount programs via strategic parterships leveraging the 'community' effect.

However, our core mission remains steadfast: to empower drivers and provide a human-centric approach to transportation. While robotaxis are an exciting development, they cater to a different segment of the market. HOVR focuses on building a community-driven platform that prioritizes drivers as partners, offering them better earning opportunities, a voice in decision-making, and support systems that foster loyalty and trust.
We also acknowledge the reality that autonomous robotaxis, while promising, are still in the early stages of development and adoption. There are significant technical, regulatory, and infrastructural hurdles to overcome before they can become a widespread reality. It will likely take several years, if not decades, before autonomous vehicles can operate at scale in a way that addresses safety concerns, meets diverse transportation needs, and gains broad public trust.
